At the corner or Nanaimo and Hastings is this cute and busy cafe. Service was great. Very very friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte which is made with homemade strawberry jam and also an apple butterscotch with white chocolate scone. Both were delicious! Matcha was nice and cold very refreshing while they warmed up my scone! Mmmm. Would definitely like to come back and try out their sandwiches! Not sure why I always walked by this place, however glad I finally did! Great selection of pastries and cool summer specials/drinks. Their donations to feed the hungry is also amazing!

What a vibrant spot! I loved the interior—it gave off a rustic, artistic vibe. It's a great place to sit and chat with your date.

I love how they play music without words, definitely makes the vibe. Dine-in or takeout they are well worth the visit. The staff are so friendly and understanding, they’ll remember your name/face/dietary restrictions after one or two visits. They have a lot of vegan options and make most of their food/treats in-house.

This place is a great place for a relaxing coffee on a busy day. It has a community vibe that this neighborhood used to have. There was a book club going on, lots of people of all ages just relaxing and enjoying their Saturday morning. Staff is amazing - they know their regulars by name (and there are a lot of those). Service was perfect, helpful and friendly. And my god, that latte I got was hand crafted, beautifully balanced and clearly made with care. I got a breakfast wrap that was awesome. Definitely made with care and worth the price. Basicallly, there is kindness and care in everything here. It’s a lovely place.

Their vegan wrap is very delicious and healthy! Also just love the overall atmosphere. I miss the upstairs section and hope it will reopen soon. Just one note was that the bathroom had a sewage smell. Otherwise a really great place and I love visiting whenever I am near the area.

Loved this spot! Just came across this place while walking by and had to stop in. Super cozy and really clean inside. The owners (I think?) were so friendly and helpful, it felt really welcoming. I had a matcha and some food which were delicious!! Will definitely be back!

Best open mic in East Van! Josh is an incredible host and community builder. City Smiles is the warmest paying it forward initiative in Vancouver. The coffees are delicious and the selection of savoury and sweet fresh baked goods is pretty amazing! Oh...did I mention the fiction/non-fiction reading clubs? There is no such thing as being lonely if this becomes your Zen spot:)

This place was brilliant. The atmosphere was amazing and I journaled there for a couple of hours. I tried the cappuccino and double espresso (both really good). The espresso definitely ranks high in my hunt for the best espresso in Vancouver. The pumpkin spice pastry was also really delicious! The staff were extremely nice and helpful as well. This is a very cozy place if you wanna journal or get some writing done.
